Multi-Mania 2007
I gave a session at multimania last friday (25th may 07) on the fine topic of “Exploring Text Effects in AS3 and Flex2″ (with the marketing name of “Dazzling Text Effects”). There was much rejoicement. My friend Pieter was kind enough to stay awake and take a picture!
As you can see, I pretty much rented an empty cinema to pose as a speaker!
Also worthy of note, I forgot my clipper at my inlaws a few centuries ago when I last cut my hair, so, I actually resemble my pirate smiley in the photo… YAARRRRRRR etc. 
Apparently I wasn’t all bad, here’s what the guys at thesedays had to say about it 
I promised I would swiftly provide source code to the files I presented… erm… I will, one at a time, at my own pace, I’ll actually have something to blog about… Like I said, I hacked most of it together only a few nights before the show, so, naturally I would be too embarassed to share such dribble…

dude, shame we were scheduled in at the same time — would’ve loved to see your session. Looking forward to your presentation notes and source files when you get some time to put those up.

I’ve been working for Nascom (http://www.nascom.be) for almost 2 years now. It’s an upcoming agency based in Hasselt, I mostly work from a small office near the Glaciere in st. Gilles… I sometimes get called over to Thesedays to take part in some projects, which is usually pretty cool.
You still at emakina? Good to hear from you… oh, and, mr Aphex Twin… did you check out my “sound text effect”? You can play Window Licker!!! I thought about you when I put it there

I’m still at emakina, for some days.
I’m leaving (resignation) for LBi, to become account manager (I was Project manager).
Window Licker, damn, remember the sound system @ Mistersuper.com ? With Xav and Edeuh, playing your sky game again and again.

Congrats! I didn’t even know DAD is LBi now?! Who is bigger then? Emakina or LBi?
